Review on One Plus 7 Pro
After using it for a few days, I
can say that One Plus 7 Pro is a keeper. At least a daily driver for few days
with its action-packed features.
One Plus 7 Pro (OP7 Pro) uses Snapdragon
855 chipset and has 12 Gigs of RAM (My unit) and also features AMOLED screen with 6.67 inches screen size.
OP7 Pro also features first of
its kind screen - 90 Hz display refresh rate. That means
all your fast-moving videos or games wouldn’t blur out as it does on a regular
60 Hz display. Thanks to Samsung’s new display, the OP7 pro looks stunningly
brilliant and vibrant especially in terms of display. I think this is the best display
so far. It also has HDR10+ which brings out the best quality of movie
experience. OP7 Pro has teamed up with Netflix for its HDR contents, which will
be available to India shortly. Netflix director said that it has already launched
few titles that are HDR enabled, which include Sacred Games etc.
OP7 Pro also features brilliant
camera set up for its selfie. It has 16 MP wide camera for the selfie and is
motorised. The primary camera has three cameras, 48 MP wide, 16 MP –
Ultra wide and 8 MP telephoto lens. One of the best features I liked mostly is
the 3x optical zoom. The rear camera is supported by the PDAF and OIS for focusing the images.
It comes with Android Pie out of
the box and is one of the first phones to get the beta of Android Q.
The internal memory is of
different variant, namely, 128 GB and 256 GB ROM. No SD card support for
the phone.
It has stereo speakers and has Dolby ATMOS sound engine.
The other features are Bluetooth 5.0, USB type C – 3.1
This is the only phone to have UFS 3.0 storage system. However, one can’t see much difference if
they don’t transfer the file from phone to PC without USB 3.1 support.
The phone comes with
non-removable battery of 4000 mAh. And it is supported by Warp charging. (The
dash charging is named as Warp charging.)
Finally, the price of the phone is not costly, and it may fit the budget.
The phone comes in two variants, viz., One plus 7 and One Plus 7 Pro. The one plus 7 is available at a cost of 34999/- and OP7 Pro being available at 45k, inr.
Review:
According to me, the phone is one
of the best beasts out there in the market. It has all the premium features of a costlier phone.
With glass body, pop up camera and a 90 Hz display, one cannot ask more than this for
a price less than 60k. The phone is a power house with SD 855 and a big ram of
12 gigs with better ram management software. The OP7 Pro also features 4000 mAh
battery that gives you a day long use with games, videos and texting. The phone
also has in-glass fingerprint reader and facial recognition.
The OP7 comes out with android
pie out of the box. This makes the phone super easy to use and better battery
and ram management. And please remember that OP has a reputation to keep neat
and clean android without much bloatware.
The camera is one of the best
features in this phone and it has triple camera setup that allows you to shoot
good and high-quality photos. The photos taken by the OP7 Pro are amazing, hands down. The primary camera is of 48 MP which takes more details
of picture and depth of details are amazing. The other camera is a 16 MP wide
camera, which allows to take wide angle phone. The phone company says that it
can shoot up to 121 degrees of wideness. However, the OPPO and other rivals
have 123 to 127 degrees of wide angle to record. The third camera can optical zoom which is capable of 3x zoom.
The other features that amazes
any one is the display screen. Thanks to
Samsung’s AMOLED technology, OP7 phones can now feature a 90 HZ display for its
ultimate viewers' experience. The phone comes with pre-installed screen protector
and a back cover/casing.
The phone is surely one of the
best phones out there in the market that could compete with other flagships. Some
may call it a flagship killer but sometimes phones can’t house everything under
its hood. Samsung’s S10+ has relatively super display with camera of higher
quality, but one can’t compare OP with some other flagships. I personally don’t
recommend comparison with any of the flagships unless they’re equally same in
terms of specs.
To me OP is still a winner in terms
of device performance. One plus listens to its community members
and users. This acknowledgement surely upholds the promise for future
developments. I am happy to be one of the reviewers out there in the world to
use that and write this review on OP7 Pro.
Thank you,
With peace, love and respects.
Simon.
