Hiya folks. This is Simon,
Today, I just wanted to talk about a new mobile device from Samsung. It is called Samsung Galaxy A80.
I guess you might have seen this on some ads that which doesn't have a front camera. What? Is that real?
Yes, it is real. The Samsung A80 mobile phone doesn't have a front facing camera for selfies. But it isn't a bad news to you, because the back camera rotates itself to be featured as a front camera.
Believe the unbelievable!
Maybe this isn't the first phone to feature a camera like this. There was Huawei and other phones that had the technology like this. However, Samsung has brought his technology to a style. The entire camera rotates! This means the phone stays slim as well as it will have this camera mobile functionality. The camera has a mechanical function that pops up a bit and rotates for front facing camera.
Samsung has offered this phone for pre-booking. The pre-bookers would get a screen replacement for just 990 INR only. This is no new to many Samsung users. Even old S7 Edge too had this offer. And mostly Note 7 pre-bookers are well aware of this.
The phone's specs are not that impressive compared to its features,
It is quite the technology that we have come up with. However, when I see that my selfie camera has a resolution of 48 MP. Is it not the best thing to have? I mean to those selfie fans, you are now blessed with something amazing. I hope you guys will use it well.
Coming to the Cameras, it has three cameras:
I guess, the third camera seems new to many people. However, fret not. This is an old camera. Huawei had used it for its phones long back.
What is TOF? What does it do?
TOF stands for Time of Flight camera. This allows the camera to emit laser under IR region to hit the body and returns. By this it can calculate how long does it take? and what is the depth of the subject. By doing this one has the idea of a subject like 3d modeling.
Now, your camera can have good photos not only due to the 48 MP camera, but also due to TOF camera. Samsung promises that this feature allows users to have great photography and un-distorted photos too.
Another big advantage of this phone is that it comes with a 25W charger, which can super charge your phone.
The phone is offered at 47,990/- INR in India and the offer of one time screen replacement offer. This offer is limited till 31st of July.
The phone is a big deal if you are looking for good photos and photography. It even has good display for its price. But the issue lies with its processor. It could have had SD850 or even higher. RAM seems only 8 GB and internal storage is fixed at 128 GB. The phone also has in-glass fingerprint reader and comes with lowest SAR value.
Thanks for reading.
This is Simon.
Take care.
Have a spiffing day,

The phone's specs are not that impressive compared to its features,
- The phone comes with Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor and has 8 GB RAM paired with 128 GB of internal storage
- Has 6.7'' screen with super AMOLED display and in-screen finger print reader
- Comes with Android Pie and Samsung's One UI
- It has 3700 mAh battery for one full day usage
- The most important point being, it comes with 3 cameras at its back which can rotate to take selfies at the same resolution

Coming to the Cameras, it has three cameras:
1. 48 MP camera with F2.0 aperture for crisp and vivid color
2. 8 MP camera for ultra wide photography (123 deg wide angle)
3. TOF camera for depth of field and details. Also called 3D depth camera
I guess, the third camera seems new to many people. However, fret not. This is an old camera. Huawei had used it for its phones long back.
