BLU phones are one of the leading phone companies in America. Lately, there has been a security breach in Blu phones. The company has admitted that one of the third-party applications has secretly sent the data of the users to a Chinese firm. This was a huge blow to the users, who are worried that their personal data might come in handy to a hacker or a phisher. Since then the company has updated a security hotfix and issued a certificate for the patch. However, this huge breach could be unacceptable to some people. This information has already caught eyes of many people and has been a viral news. The company is not dealing with an exchange or a refund, however, is concerned with the customer's privacy. So, immediately it has patched the loophole and is looking forward to stopping any possible breaches in the future.
Even though BLU is an American company it's manufactured in China. There are a lot of bloatware that comes in Chinese phones which might be the key for this breach. However, there are no sources for this accusation.
The data which has been transmitted for every 72 hours to an unknown Chinese firm is still under investigation. The app developers have not spoken since the leak. The company might be working together in building the customer profile or stacking the customer details for possible internet attack.
